We publish a lot of free material because it genuinely helps people. It is still general information, and your situation has details that no article knows about.

General information, not advice
Everything on this website, the guides, the country pages, the blog, the calculators and the answers to common questions, is published for general information. It is not tax advice, legal advice, investment advice or a valuation. It does not take your circumstances into account, because it cannot see them.
The calculators
Our free tools are estimating aids. They apply the rules as we understand them to the numbers you type in, and they are useful for orientation and for sanity checking somebody else's figure.
They are not valuations, and no authority accepts a calculator output. Specifically:
- A tax officer, a bank, a court and a foreign immigration authority all require a signed report from a registered valuer.
- A calculator does not see the property, its condition, its floor, its approach road or its title.
- A calculator cannot know a local factor that moves value materially.
Use them to understand the shape of the answer. Use a report when the answer has to hold up.
Reading this site does not make you a client
No professional relationship is created by browsing this site, downloading something from it, or sending us a first message. It starts when we have quoted, you have accepted and we have confirmed. Until then, please do not treat anything here as advice given to you personally.
Rules change, and we are not always fast enough
Indian tax and exchange control rules change, sometimes with a short lead time, and foreign immigration and family law rules change too. We date our articles and we update the important ones, but there will be moments where a page has not caught up. Anything material to a decision should be confirmed against the current rule on the day you act.
We also write about how foreign authorities and banks tend to behave. That is observation from the files we handle, not a statement of that country's law. For advice on the law where you live, use a professional qualified there.
Examples and figures
Worked examples on this site use illustrative numbers to show a method. They are not predictions of what your property is worth, what tax you will pay or what any authority will accept. Turnaround times are targets based on what we normally achieve, not guarantees.
Other websites
We link to government portals, official notifications and useful third-party pages because they are worth reading. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their accuracy. A link is not an endorsement.
Availability
We try to keep this site accurate, current and available. We do not warrant that it is free from error or interruption, and we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on the general content here. Our professional responsibility attaches to the reports we sign, which is where it belongs. That responsibility is set out in our terms and conditions and engagement terms.
Ask us instead of guessing
If a page here is unclear or looks wrong, tell us. Write to nrivaluers@gmail.com. We would rather fix a page than have somebody act on a bad line in it.
Questions about any of this?
Write to nrivaluers@gmail.com or message +91 89208 74097. We answer plainly, and we would rather explain a clause than have you agree to something you did not follow.
