Refunds and Cancellations
Written the way we would want it written if we were the ones sitting overseas paying an Indian firm we had not met.

Cancelling before the site visit
If you cancel before our engineer has travelled to the property, you get a full refund of whatever you have paid. No deduction, no processing fee, no questions beyond asking whether something went wrong that we should fix.
Cancelling after the site visit, before the report
Once the inspection has been done, real cost has been incurred: travel, an engineer's day, and often record searches. At this stage we retain a reasonable portion of the fee reflecting work actually completed, and refund the balance. We will tell you the exact split before you decide, and we will show you what it covers.
You keep nothing from a cancellation at this stage, because the report has not been prepared. If you would rather have the report than a partial refund, say so and we will finish it.
After the report is delivered
Once a signed report has been issued, the fee is not refundable. The work is complete and the deliverable is in your hands.
Errors are always fixed free
If a report contains a mistake that is ours, a wrong area, a wrong date, an arithmetic error, a wrong owner name, a missing annexure, we correct and reissue it at no charge, and we do it quickly. That applies whenever you find it, not only within some window.
If you have evidence we did not have at the time, send it. We will review it properly and reissue if it changes the outcome. Where it does not change the outcome, we will tell you why in writing rather than just saying no.
If we cause a delay
If we miss an agreed deadline for reasons within our control, tell us and we will agree a fair reduction. Delays outside our control do not attract a refund, and those include access we could not get, documents we were waiting on from you, and registry, archive or authority delays. We will always tell you which is which rather than let a job go quiet.
If we cannot do the job
Occasionally we start and find we should not finish, for example where a property turns out to be materially different from what was described, where a conflict emerges, or where the papers cannot support a report that would survive scrutiny. In that case we refund in full, minus any inspection already carried out at your request, and we explain the reason plainly.
Rescheduling
Rescheduling a site visit is free, as often as you need, provided you tell us before the engineer travels. If the engineer reaches the property and cannot get access, a revisit charge applies, and we will quote it before we go again.
How refunds are paid
- Refunds go back to the account or card the payment came from.
- We process within seven working days of agreeing the refund.
- How long it then takes to appear depends on your bank, and international transfers commonly take another five to ten working days.
- Bank charges, card processing fees and currency conversion losses on the original payment are not recoverable from us, because we never received them.
If you are not happy
Write to nrivaluers@gmail.com or message +91 89208 74097 and set out what went wrong. It reaches a person, not a queue. Most things that look like a refund question turn out to be a communication failure we can put right the same day.
Questions about any of this?
Write to nrivaluers@gmail.com or message +91 89208 74097. We answer plainly, and we would rather explain a clause than have you agree to something you did not follow.
